Foundation Supportworks' concentric push piers are a unique type of push pier system. Unlike typical "side-load" retrofit brackets, concentric pier systems are installed directly below foundation walls or point loads. As a result, they are not exposed to the bending forces generated from offset, eccentric loading conditions.
Concentric push piers are commonly used in confined areas such as crawl spaces or tunnels or when obstructions are present preventing the use of traditional push piers. They can also be used on grade beams supporting post-tensioned slabs, and under shallow exterior wall footings with limited soil cover. In crawl spaces, concentric push piers can also be used as supplemental support beneath crawl space girders to provide a deep foundation for crawl space support jacks.
